Construction volunteers help build houses from start to finish under the direction of Habitat’s site supervisor. Tasks include framing, siding, insulation, drywall, windows, doors, trim, painting and landscaping.
Construction volunteers may also help to deconstruct a home before its demolished. Deconstruction consists of removing reusable windows, doors, lighting fixtures, furnaces, cabinets, stairs, etc.
You will work with our construction or ReStore staff, other volunteers, and partner families during various phases of construction to either build or deconstruct homes in neighborhoods throughout Lorain County.
