Please consider donating to Lorain County Habitat for Humanity to help support our cause to eliminate poverty housing. Decent housing should be a right for everyone and affects every aspect of ones well-being. Your donation will not only affect one family, but every generation after, whom you have blessed with improved prosperity and opportunity.
We are completing two new homes on Warden Avenue in Elyria during 2018. These homes cost about $95,000 to construct. Please consider contributing to this cause through either a monetary donation or thru your donations to the ReStore.
Another way to support our mission is to donate gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, clothes, etc to our ReStore in Lorain. We pick-up donations free of charge. Items must be at ground level, in the garage, or outside the home. Donations should be scheduled as far in advance as possible. We are currently picking up Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
Items that we cannot accept include: entertainment centers, china cabinets, large desks, baby items, dishwashers more than 2 years old, computer printers, computer monitors (unless flat screen), televisions (unless flat screen), organs and pianos, any item that is not in re-sellable condition (i.e. mattresses with stains, rusted, torn or broken items).
Please do not leave your donations outside if you bring them yourself. These usually end up in the dumpster and cost money to dispose of them.
Please note that if you schedule a pick up and there is inclement weather and Amherst Exempted Schools are closed pickups are automatically canceled. A representative will contact you to rescheduled once we reopen.
