Habitat for Humanity welcomes partnerships with both individuals and organizations that are community minded and desire a means to spread goodwill. As such, Habitat offers many opportunities to get involved right here in Lorain County.
Beginning with Lorain County Board of Realtors Association’s Annual Golf Outing in June and Habitat’s annual Wine and Dine Event in September, businesses and organizations can effortlessly gain public recognition and awareness through sponsorships at these events. To sponsor an event or to obtain the latest information about these opportunities, please call 440.984.3343 to request a visit from one of our representatives. Representatives who make personal visits include: a member of the Board of Directors, the Chair of one of Habitat’s many committees, or the Executive Director.
Besides local recognition and awareness raising, many organizations and businesses seek out activities to enhance communication among its employees, raise the morale of its staff, build teamwork between peers, or simply want to encourage positive community change through examples of good stewardship. If this more closely reflects your ideals, please consider sponsoring a building project. Building projects provide volunteer opportunities for your staff and can be customized to fit your particular size organization. Whether you sponsor a whole house, a room, or one wall, there is a project that can fit your objective and our organization’s desire to fill a local need.
Please consider whether making a material donation of new or gently used resellable items to our Restore would help eliminate overstock or obsolete inventory that could free up space at your facility. Often times businesses will donate their lobby furniture when they update their décor as an example.

We would like to introduce to you a new House Sponsor program. This program is designed to help us focus your donations into the house building category. Whether you’d like to help with the actual building materials and expert labor of the home, or help with Ground Breaking and Dedication expenses, we will be sure these funds are directed accordingly.
