Volunteers are the heart of
Lorain County Habitat for Humanity.
Without volunteers we could never
accomplish as much as we do.
Volunteer labor decreases construction
cost of each home and prevents the cost
from being unaffordable.
VOLUNTEERS HELPS US WITH
80% of each Home Built in Lorain County,
50% of ReStore Operations
75% in Administrative Support.
There are no specific commitment necessary to become a Habitat volunteer. You can volunteer as often as you like, as part of a group, or as an individual. We welcome everyone including homemakers, retirees, students, and the disabled.
Administrative volunteers help keep the Habitat ministry running smoothly by assisting with data entry, bulk mailings, and special events. These individuals do a lot of behind the scenes work to get us where we want to go.
ReStore volunteers help with customer service and donation processing which allows more of the ReStore proceeds to go to Habitat for Humanity's mission, helping local families in need achieve the dream of homeownership.
Construction is a seasonal way to be involved. Habitat has opportunities for groups and individuals to help. Volunteers can learn new skills, teach the skills they have to others, lead projects, and be hands on in our mission.
Committee & Board Work
Committee volunteers help Habitat make big events and big impact happen. From our Church Committee to our annual Wine and Dine Event there is a lot of work to be done that wouldn't happen without these individuals.
